Penta comprises over 200 professionals in New York, London, Washington, DC, and San Francisco working to bring data-driven, tailored solutions to more than 200 clients.nnnSummary of Position:nPenta is seeking full-time paid interns for summer 2023.nnnIntelligence interns perform the analysis, development, and presentation of research-based consulting engagements to inform the strategy of major corporations and trade or professional associations. Interns will use quantitative and qualitative research to create reports, presentations, memos, and ad hoc communications materials. Qualified applicants will have some experience in conducting research, distilling insights and recommendations from primary, secondary, and other industry data, and creating high-caliber client-facing material. A successful candidate will also have strong writing and time-management skills, and a curious, proactive, high-achieving attitude.nnnDuties & Responsibilities:nResearchn+ Research and monitor clients’ businesses and industries to maintain a current knowledge base and keep team apprised of new and ongoing developmentsn+ Collect, conduct, and present quantitative and qualitative research and analysis for client presentations, reports, infographics, and fact sheetsn+ Uncover and develop consumer insights to drive successful marketing initiativesn+ Inform communication and advocacy strategies with policy expertisen+ Perform statistical and economic analyses+ Provide feedback to managerial insight/analysisn+ Write both short- and large-scale reports, white papers, and blog posts, among other productsnnnCommunicationsn+ Develop a strong understanding of reporters, policy experts, and policymakers relevant for clients’ issue areasn+ Draft explanatory materials on complex policy issues and write concise memos that summarize research, detail a policy landscape, and highlight key findingsn+ Track and analyze the communications environment for critical message sharingnnnQualifications:n+ Rising undergraduate seniors (graduating in Dec. 2023 or spring 2024) working toward a degree in marketing, PR, political science/government, public policy, economics, journalism, business or related fieldn+  Experience conducting research and analysis and writing and distilling complex ideas and concepts into a digestible format at a financial services or consulting firm, policy/research shop, publicly traded company, or think tankn+ Proficiency–-and ability to grow skills–-in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Excel models that combine multiple data sources is a plusn+ Experience creating graphics and data visualizations is a plus, as is an openness to learn basic graphic design skillsn+ Ability to use data to communicate accurate, logical, and actionable conclusions in a professional services environmentn+ Willingness to learn new skills and participate in new projectsn+ Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple, competing assignmentsn+ Excellent verbal and written communication skillsn+ Strong data management and analytical skillsn+ Ability to take initiative; motivated and self-starting+ Solid presentation skills and strong attention to detailn+ Ability to work 40 hours per weekn+ Ability to commit to internship from early June through August 2023nnnBenefits:n+ Excellent environment for learning and growthn+ Frequent firm-wide social events and activitiesnnnnnnThe deadline for this application is Sunday, January 29 at 11:00pm ET.
