Who we are
Fast Travel Games is a VR game developer and publisher based in Sweden, founded by industry leading veterans. We’ve created critically acclaimed games such as Apex Construct, The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets and Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife, with Cities: VR. We are developers and publishers of both internal and third-party titles set in beautiful, rich and immersive worlds. We are very proud of our FTG culture and as we are looking to expand the family with another VFX-Artist we hope to find a candidate that will contribute to that culture and our ambitious studio goals and vision as we continue to grow.
About the role
As a VFX Artist you’ll need to take on a variety of tasks, such as

Creating high quality VFX using Unreal Engine, for current and new titles.

Work closely with other VFX artists, Technical Artists and Art Directors to maintain as well as push the style and quality of our games.

Continuously refine the VFX creation pipeline.

Ownership and influence over your own time and workflow
Requirements

Knows how to create visual effects in real-time game engines

Technical setup, integration, and troubleshooting of VFX in game engines.

Ability to communicate independently with other creatives and stakeholders.

Comfortable using the tools of the trade, be it Photoshop, Maya, in-engine FX systems, or other software.

Creating VFX in various ways, using different approaches. 3D, particle systems, physics, ribbons, simulations, flip books… you name it, all of it is exciting to you.

Being able to hit established art targets in various styles.

Fluent verbal and written english

Experience authoring custom materials and graphics shaders
